The studio’s executives determined that a costume department was not needed on the lot and, as a result, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers and Paramount Pictures partnered to co-own Western Costume. Fox’s entire inventory was transferred to an offsite location. In 1978, after experiencing the accessibility limitations of Western Costume, Fox re-created a small wardrobe department on the lot.
